So yesterday was Easter and it wasn't anything like the Easters I remember from my childhood. By this time of year (at least here in Southern California) we should be sporting shorts and flip flops, heading to the beach and complaining about what a hot summer we're going to have. Not that I want to rub it in for those who are still shoveling snow and wondering if winter will ever end, but our weather is definitely not normal and hasn't been the last couple of years. It's cool and gloomy and often damp. I'm still wearing sweatshirts pretty much every day. Everyday I ask "where is the sun"? So for today's Much Ado about Monday, I went in search of spring. Bright, pretty, sunshiny spring. And because I have a current obsession with pretty wreaths, I'm looking for spring wreaths....so I can be greeted with a bit of spring everytime I walk in the door.

I love this one. I already make these flowers for my 'Little Bits & Baubles' hair clips so it shouldn't be too difficult!
From the Fancy Frugal Life blog...she includes a tutorial on her site.
From Classicly Amber Another with rolled flowers. Very sweet....
This is the same type of flower, made with crepe paper. I love the shabby look. Of course the great shutter it's hung on is a great prop....A Glimpse Inside blog
Finally, perhaps my favorite, is this one with real flowers which I adore... The Burke Lodge
I feel cheered up already. Now I have to decide which one I want to make for my door!
Be well,
Kathi
